Understanding Mental Health Risk and Resilience with Psychiatric Genomics

The Psychiatric Genomics Lab is a computational lab housed in the Huntsman Mental Health Institute at the University of Utah. We map the differing genetic architectures of complex and severe outcomes like treatment-resistant depression, schizophrenia, and suicide to inform prevention and treatment efforts.

We focus on examining molecular genetic risk and resilience in emerging adults, genetic interaction with psychosocial risk factors, and complex genetic determinants of suicide, autism, treatment-resistant depression, and psychosis.
